Hamburg Sud Launches Second US Gulf-Latin America Service
Hamburg Sud will start offering more slots from ports in the U.S. Gulf to the Caribbean and the east coast of Latin America through a second weekly service in that trade.
Starting with the departure of the container ship Singapore from Houston on Sept. 26, the second weekly string will connect Houston and New Orleans with Caucedo, Suape, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Navegantes and Rio de Janeiro.
Hamburg Sud will provide the new service through a space charter agreement with Hapag-Lloyd.
By adding New Orleans to the North American network, Hamburg Sud now offers service from 13 ports in the U.S. to all major markets in Latin America, with seven weekly departures from all three coasts.
